Pine River Pewter is a home-based business that was created several years ago when we were building our little mountain home in Southwest Colorado. My husband had built the entire house including the kitchen cabinets. He decided he wanted to make the cabinet knobs and pulls also. It was through this quest of making our cabinet hardware that Pine River Pewter was created.

All the hardware is created and manufactured up here on our property. We have always been outdoor enthusiasts! The inspirations for our designs have come from this passion for nature, our love of the outdoors and our unquenchable thirst for adventure. We have been very fortunate to live in some beautiful places.

We spent many years living in the mountains of Ketchum, Idaho embracing all the incredible outdoor adventures of rafting, skiing, fishing, hiking, etc. Then a job offer took us to the north shore of Kauai where we spent six years enjoying sea kayaking, windsurfing, lots of ocean fishing and swimming with dolphins, humpback whales, manta rays, etc. Then we eventually made our way back to the mountains of Durango, Colorado.

Our adventures in life have taken us down to New Zealand. We’ve done a lot of camping and sailing in Mexico. We spent a couple of summers cruising the British Columbia coastline in a small boat seeing everything from bears, Orcas, eagles, humpbacks, etc. We love just about any opportunity to be immersed in Mother Nature. Our designs are a reflection of this passion of ours. We do some of the design work ourselves and we also hire some of our local artists in Durango to help us.
